New Cville MTB Trails at Heyward Community Forest
The new Charlottesville trails at Heyward Community Forest (next to Ragged Mountain) are amazing! Kudos to the trail builders. I had a blast lapping them, and will definitely be back soon. The slabs integrated into Wrong 'Em Boyo were just a joy to ride. So sick! You don't see too many trails like this in the area so it was a welcome suprise.

Some pretty unlucky DownDuro race runs at Bryce...randomly got hit with the Trek Slash chain drop plague. I haven't had a single drop riding much gnarlier stuff and then the chain decides to drop 4 or 5 times yesterday including during my first race run I was putting down a heater, too! Two 1st place results in one weekend! Quite the whirlwind for my first time on the podium. Here are the race runs from the Go Nuts Massanutten Enduro. I managed to snag the top Cat 1 time, and p4 overall for the whole race. This was a pretty brutal course with some long stages. Here's my race run from the 2024 Downhill Southeast at Massanutten. I raced the Open Single Crown category and was stoked to take home the win! This was my first DH race and certainly won't be the last...the track was pretty brutal on the body, and it shows in the second half of my run. Less brakes man!! Hey man I live in the NoVa as well. I have the gen 6. Did you resolve the chain drop issue. ?
Nice! I’m not sure if it’s sorted fully. I got an NS Billet idler that has deeper teeth. I dropped it once in two months of riding after installing that part. I’ve also bought treks new idler pulley but haven’t tested yet. Someone in a forum suggested the e thirteen LG1 chainguide as well. I’d like to try that but can’t find any in stock.

@@themiddleagemasher8108 Not 100% figured out yet. I did get a NS Billet upper idler wheel to see if that helps. No drops so far, but I've only been on one good ride with it. SRAM/Trek also recommended me to run T-Type drivetrains with the frame...

Yooooo, I’m behind on your videos. Going here in like 2 months? That road gap/ big old boy afterwards at Mach turkey looks like it’s going to be a blast, not to mention that jumpline with the metal booter. Can’t wait to ride this place, everything looks like so much fun!
dude, that road gap to step up is insane. So much speed going into the jump it feels like you're getting smushed on the lip. You're going to love it. The parking lot jumps are also really well built. The metal booter is chiller and floatier than you would think

Did you guys climb all the way up Ridgeline to start? And what section was the last few minutes? Looked super fun, still Ridgeline?
Thanks for watching! We shuttled up to ridgeline. The fire road climb is pretty heinous...The ridge trail ends at 04:57. The rest of the video is a bit of Bryson Hollow to Senior Rock (not shown) to Twin Lakes which is the flowy bit at the end
